The Adobe User Group of Atlanta Premier
Just as the folks at Macromedia have gone through changes, so have the user groups. Mine is no exception. The Atlanta Macromedia User Group is no more.
I've been working feverishly behind the scenes trying to make everything happen.
First, we needed a permanent site to conduct meetings. We are lucky enough to have entered into an agreement with the campus of SCAD Atlanta. It seemed like a perfect match for both SCAD and us -- they have students who use Adobe's products, we need a site to meet. And, special thanks to them -- they are donating the space! Now that cost won't be coming out of my pocket.
Secondly, we needed a better way to communicate with members. To that problem, I have been hard at work at the AUGAtlanta.org Web site. Automatic announcement mailings, RSVP confirmations, and attendence tracking were all features that would make managing a user group easier. I believe that I have made it to the half-way point in that effort.
So, without further ado: The June 2006 Meeting of The Adobe User Group of Atlanta.
