Kenny Bunch - Time Shifting Entertainment, a FITC Preview
At last night's Adobe Flash Platform User Group of Atlanta meeting, Kenny Bunch presented "Time Shifting Entertainment". I found Kenny's presentation so compelling I thought it might be a good idea to give people who will be attending Flash in the Can later this month a preview of his session (Monday, April 23, 4:00 - 5:00 PM).
Points of Interest (without giving too much away):
- Kenny's done work for CBS, Cartoon Network and CNN (well, those are the ones he could talk about)
- Kenny was influential in getting the Flash Player shipped on the Playstation 3 and making sure it ran well
- Bandwidth costs are making some online video providers to look away from using the Flash Player (Attn: Adobe!)
- Adult Swim's Interactive Video has visitors watching 20 minute episode, but staying on the site for hours looking at additional material linked in the video!
- Kenny previewed a Flash-based PS3 game that links Cartoon Network's Ben 10 episodes with a the game making the episodes and game play feed off each other. Awesome!
In all, it was obvious to me that Kenny has his exhausted finger on the pulse of Internet-based entertainment. For those of you going to FITC, I'd mark this session as a "must attend".
